Over the years we have made an effort to take responsibility for how our actions impact the earth. The need to take responsibility has grown with the pressing reality of climate change, with becoming parents, and again with the decisions we are making as business owners.
Decisions about food, and especially meat, are complicated and leave us conflicted. Our personal compromise (among other things) has been to eat less meat and to source meat that is ethically raised, slaughtered and processed. We feel that using as much of the animal as possible demonstrates respect and care.
We are working to use less packaging when possible, thoughtfully source ingredients and explore every opportunity to make our shop more environmentally friendly.
