A Bit About Us
In 2014 we moved out of Halifax to live in Lunenburg, charmed by the sense of community, beautiful old buildings, and room to grow a garden or bike to the ocean.
Originally from Montreal, I moved to Nova Scotia to work on a farm at the age of 18. I fell in love with NS during that time, and have called it home for almost 25 years.
Although a wood worker for most of my life, I have always loved food and old fashioned skills. During a trip out West (and after many winter hours watching River Cottage) I took a pork butchery/charcuterie workshop and discovered the craft. From there, I continued to study butchery on my own and at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, BC. I'm looking forward to continuing the adventure in our very own shop.
After moving to Halifax to pursue a fine arts degree at NSCAD, I took up baking full time, working at different shops in BC, Halifax and eventually settling on the South Shore. I am now pleased to call Lunenburg home, putting down roots and raising a family.
I am super excited to be in full creative control here at our little shop. Sharing foods I love to eat and making them beautiful.
